John
was called to the Bar in 1995. He has an Honours B.A.
from the University of Western Ontario
and an LL.B. from the University of Wales, College
of Cardiff, U.K.
Since his call to the Bar, John has practiced exclusively
in construction and surety bond law including construction
liens, construction claims, trust claims, and surety
bond claims.
John has represented parties at all levels of the
construction pyramid involving owners, general contractors
and subcontractors related to construction liens, construction
claims and trust claims. John has also represented bonding
companies in defending performance bond claims and payment
bond claims, and prosecuting claims on indemnities on
behalf of the surety.
John is the author of several articles related to
construction liens in Ontario and the co-author of several
articles on construction litigation, the Construction
Lien Act, Crown liability, remedies and other topics.
John is also the firm's Managing Partner.
