Joshua was been listed in the 2017 Canadian Legal Lexpert Dictionary as a Lawyer to Watch.
Joshua graduated from the University of Western Ontario dual-degree program, earning a J.D. as well a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with distinction.
Joshua has represented clients in various forums, focussing on complex international arbitrations including a natural gas processing plant a nickel processing facility. Joshua’s experience includes disputes involving design- build, design-bid-build, P3, EPC and EPCM delivery methods. Joshua’s practice also includes actively assisting clients in the pre-claims phase to either renegotiate their contract or best position themselves for eventual claims on projects including public transit systems and hydroelectric dams.
During his time at the University of Western Ontario, Joshua was actively involved in many extra-curricular programs and clubs including as the Vice President of the Israel on Campus club, Head of Parliamentary Debate at the Ontario Engineering Competition 2011, and Co-President of the Western Society for Civil Engineering.
In 2013, Joshua was awarded second prize at the City of London Design competition as well as third prize at the Western Engineering Design Day for his team's design of a parking structure and pedestrian footbridge in London Ontario. Joshua also competed on behalf of Western Law in the 2013 Davies Corporate/Securities Law Moot which focused on issues of shareholder rights plans and hostile takeovers.Joshua Strub
