John David Du Vernet

Bio

John-David has been involved with a variety of commercial disputes including real estate and construction related confidential mediation, private arbitration, and litigation processes.

John-David recently completed a Dual Canadian/U.S. Juris Doctor degree at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Throughout his legal education, John-David worked in the School’s International Patent Law Clinic, meeting with client inventors and writing patent applications for inventors in a client focussed manner. John-David was also a member of the Law School hockey team, the Animal Justice Society and Civil Litigation Society.

 Prior to law school, John-David completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario, where he pursued a BA in Political Science with a minor in Urban Development and graduated with an Honours Degree on the Dean’s List. 

John-David enjoys giving back to the community through his involvement with Habit for Humanity, a non-profit organization working towards a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live, and Movember, raising awareness and money for men’s health.

 John-David enjoys alpine snow skiing, having raced competitively through to international FIS level, and playing golf, hockey and cheering for all of Toronto’s profession sports teams.
