Jacob Jones

Articling Student

Bio

Jacob has experience in a wide variety of legal and economic fields. Before summering and articling at the firm, Jacob worked for a large, full service law firm, researching and drafting environmental law issues and policy, municipal development agreements, and Request for Proposals. At the firm, Jacob has actively participated in matters ranging from large, multistakeholder infrastructure projects to Small Claims Court files.

 In his legal education, Jacob enjoyed both legal research and oral advocacy. He provided Research Assistance on various Canadian and Comparative Constitutional Issues, and participated in the University of Toronto - Faculty of Law mooting program.

 Throughout his Undergraduate and Master’s studies in Economics, Jacob researched topics ranging from Advanced Microeconomic Theory to Industrial Organization and Competition Policy. In particular, Jacob has experience reviewing and analysing Competition Tribunal decisions.
