Janice L. QuiggAssociate
Janice L. Quigg acts for various players in the construction industry, including owners, sureties, subcontractors and suppliers, general contractors and design professionals.
Janice has appeared at all levels of Ontario courts, up to and including the Court of Appeal. She prosecutes various types of construction claim cases, including trust claims, construction liens and claims for deficiency and poor workmanship.
Janice is former Chair of the Ontario Bar Association, Construction and Infrastructure Law Section. She is a Trustee of the OBA Foundation and, an elected Council member of the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association. Janice has authored articles on various topics related to construction law and, in particular, delay claims and trust actions.
Janice is a frequent speaker on construction law topics at the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada and, has taught a course in Law and Construction Contracts at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies at George Brown College in Toronto. The course encompasses a whole range of topics, including contract and negligence law, tendering, construction liens, surety bonds and dispute resolution.
Janice completed the Mediation Program at Harvard Law school and is expanding her practice to include the conduct of mediations.Janice L. Quigg
