Bio
Benjamin provides pragmatic legal advice to a variety of clients in the construction industry. Drawing on experience gained at both a large national firm and in-house at a major construction materials company he helps clients understand and act on legal risk. Benjamin has acted for owners, general contractors, engineers, as well as subcontractors and consultants. In addition to disputes work, Benjamin assists clients in the drafting and negotiating of construction, design, and engineering services contracts.
Benjamin studied law at the University of Calgary and was called to the Alberta bar in 2023. During law school Benjamin received Dean’s List recognition twice, achieved top oralist awards at two major international moots, and served as a research assistant on a inter-faculty project between the Law and Architecture department examining how the built environment responds to regulation.
