Bio
Amir joined Glaholt Bowles LLP as an Associate in 2023, after summering and articling at the firm. During his time at the firm, Amir has assisted clients in matters such as large-scale construction projects, mediations, arbitrations, adjudications, small claims court proceedings, and appeals. Amir’s experience includes conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, facta, and settlement documents, and participating in discovery proceedings, settlement conferences, and hearings.
Amir obtained his J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During law school, Amir enjoyed participating in trial and oral advocacy as well as negotiation programs.
Prior to law school, Amir studied Mechanical Engineering, obtaining his B.A.Sc. from the University of Waterloo in 2018. Amir has previous work experience in consulting where he worked on large-scale energy projects, and also biomedical R&D where he won an Industrial Research Award from NSERC in 2016.
In his free time, Amir enjoys the great Canadian outdoors by going hiking, camping, and portaging. Amir also enjoys playing soccer and supporting his favorite team, Manchester United, in the English Premier League.
