Bio
Justyne is a litigation law clerk. Her experience includes drafting pleadings, motion records and court documents at all stages of a civil action, e-discovery, default proceedings, trial preparation, arbitration and mediation, adjudication, and appeals.
Justyne also has experience in all aspects of construction law including lien preservation and perfection, adjudication of construction disputes, drafting motions, and preparation and registration of all construction lien related documents in Teraview. Justyne has the skills to assist counsel with construction litigation disputes from start to finish, including enforcement of judgments, adjudication determinations, Construction Lien Masters’ reports, and Arbitrators’ awards. Prior to joining the firm, Justyne assisted senior counsel in litigation, family law, employment law, professional licensing, small claims court, criminal, and general corporate matters. She has extensive procedural knowledge in assisting counsel through the appeal process in the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Justyne graduated from Humber College with a bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies and is licensed as a paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario (not currently providing services). She continues to develop her skills with continuing legal education through Osgoode Professional Development and is working to obtain her Law Clerk diploma with the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.
